During the winter, the entire area gets covered with snow, that is why the temple is closed for half of the year. The temple is claimed to be built by Pandavas from Mahabharat and now one the temple of ‘Char Dham Yatra’. Today, the temple is known as the sacred as well as the oldest temples in the country. 

How To Reach: Pilgrimage has to walk 14 KMs over the hilly surface from the Gaurikund which can be reached by bus from Rishikesh.
